Consultant and Educator

john yianni stamas   John "Yianni" Stamas of Video Film Web Studios (VFW) is a consultant/educator/workforce developer empowering others using digital communication arts including video production, web design, search engine optimization and social media. He is an anti-cyberbullying advocate and believes that education is is the best way to get out a message of hope in the face of this new and dangerous form of terrorizing. As such, he co-moderates youth workshops through the New York Public Library and other organizations and institutions.

Yianni serves marketing clients with campaign consulting and students with internship programs through NYC AIM. Clients include the NYC Department of Education, Lincoln Center for Performing Arts, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Dramatics NYC, New York Public Library and actors you know from stage and screen. He is a co-founder of the Platinum Pias Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in the art and science of building communication in areas including community, beauty and entertainment. He is a founding producer of the Lights Camera Read contest at the New York Public Library as well as moderates digital communication arts workshops (also for the library). Additionally Yianni is co-artistic director of the Magic Neighbors troupe doing theater community outreach. Plus he is one of the creators of Review Me NYC, the review site that helps to determine Platinum Pias winners. Finally he is a coordinator of a journalism network partnership called Media Space NYC consisting of over 80 blogs and publications.
