Educators have an ongoing unique challenge, especially in these troubled financial times. Now more than ever the pressure is on the educator to show that his or her educational systems are working and that students are making progress. Now there is a powerful tool and strategy available for the educator. It is using internet publicity and advertising techniques in conjunction with the institutions primary web site as well as focusing in on producing a yearly documentary.
This means that teachers can use online video, email lists and other communication methods to update parents, students and funders of the strides that are being made. Always putting the best foot forward ensures the educational health and prosperity of the school and the community.
VideoFilmWeb is currently working with the High School of Violin and Dance on the Morris High School Campus in the Bronx. VFW (Video Film Web) is producing for this school a 15 minute documentary to be broadcast online and for use for internal communications.
Since VFW is a NYC Department of Education vendor they work with schools like HSVD and others. See what the "Bronx Bulletin" and other publications have said after seeing work in progress preview screenings of the new documentary entitled "Empowerment HSVD".
"Empowerment HSVD" is inspiring and moving. I was especially struck by the fact that the film was shot almost entirely by media students of the High School of Violin and Dance and then edited together by a production company called Video, Film and Web Services, Inc."
