The majority of our clients are working actors who make their living at their craft. But even if you're just starting out it is very important to present the material you have in the best way possible. Editing a demo reel is not just about putting together clips of your work, it is crafting a commercial for you to sell yourself as an actor.
Here's the Actors Demo Reel Package check list of items to please bring in when we set a meeting time.
- Opening Montage Music - should be representative of "you" and the kind of roles you'll be up for, as well as compatible with the sort of industry professionals you'll be targeting.
- Your head shot - on disc if possible - as well as any other promotional photos you wish to include.
- All source material on DVD, VHS, Mini DV or various file formats on CD/DVD.
- Prepare paper cut. If material involves excerpting segments over a range of time, please make a list of times of clips desired. Example - "3:02 on DVD, the close up, through to 3:37."
- Decide on medium you want your mobile media version of your reel to be - IPod, cell phone, email etc. Select medium strategy and we will determine best possible format.
- Any and all additional material or web link URLs you may wonder if should be included. Sometimes clips of lesser known work or online-only source pieces are helpful for integration - example: used to establish "look" you're capable of in opening montage.
- Text file or paper with wording that you would like on your demo reel flash video web page.
- Text file or paper with wording (unions, names, representation etc.) that you would like on your opening and/or closing titles.
- Clear idea of who you are marketing to and their decision process.
- Clear idea of the kind of roles you'll be up for.

- The way we tend to work is that the first meeting is a capture and digitization session of your source material as well as strategy discussion that usually takes under an hour.
- Then, based on our discussion, 24-72 hours later a rough cut of your reel is uploaded to its flash video page for you to look at.
- Any changes are made if necessary and final version is uploaded as well as 2 DVD masters created and left with receptionist for you to pick up.
- We no longer make DVD copies in-house and if mass quantities and special packaging are desired we recommend searching online for best price and quality.
